Okey now I'm gonna be very thorough as that's what I would like if someone were to go over any lists I would have posted. So this is just love!!!!! <3 โค๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’š

Some time since I played IG, but the sniper rifle on one of your guard squad in my mind is a bit? :p fishing for 6's on one dude with 4+ to hit? Dunno... sounds like those 2p could be placed on something else iven if they're just 2 p...( a lasrifle with first rank fire, second rank fire in rapidfire range will outperform a sniper rifle any day even if it wounds on 5+...

the techies I understand somewhat. But they won't be able to stay with the russes in a good push as they are just to slow.... so then they're just holding back with the manticores that hopefully shouldn't die before round 3 - 5 with good placement? If an antitank unit deeps strikes behind your line, then they will melt with or without those techies anyways... 3 eradicators does around 4 hits, and 3 ~ 2,5 should wound in general against t7 and below to t5. That's minimum 6 - 9 dmg in average and that's from a minimum squad of them and double or triple 1's on the dmg roll.... (ofc that's allso inside melta range) this is (don't get me started with tau/dark eldar/eldari....) probably the biggest reason why guard or tank heavy armies without invul saves has issues... the -1 to hit gives atleast some protection .... nightshroud I think the psychic power is called ..... but it only effects one unit. And buffing one unit with +1 sv is just bad... but atleast you get 5 to save against ap-4 weapons so there's that :grimacing:



The russes are somewhat pricey but i deffo understand it.... you will have issues holding the middle of the board as you don't have any "tanky" units ie:nothing with an invul save with lots of wounds, though then again IG doesn't really have any units outside of bullgryns is a issue with IG :S ..... Let's face it russes in eradicator/Tau/dark lances and eldari era aren't tough:p they're cardboard boxes on tracks^^

if you wanted to change anything I would look into dropping those meltas on the tanks and useing those allmost 100 p on something else? Since they will die fairly quickly if targeted and theyre 200p... in a matchup you would need em to take out 200p each before they get taken out themselves. Now IG has a very hard time in todays matchups since they haven't received a new codex:p

Lastly:p I'm wondering your plan with the "emperor's conclave" since it really just buffs melee? But your setup isn't geared for a melee guard list? An idea on how to play the list would be interesting except yarrick ofc? Change out some plasma pistols for power swords to get more out of the fight phase? (One shot at str 8-3d2 vs 2 or 4(with fix bayonets on the guard sgt with str 4 -3 1d attacks?)


Other than that, I see you have a very mobile army with lots of high dmg shot, and a scary deepstrike option with your tempestus units...

My first reaction on looking at it, bit I'm no expert just trying to help;)

Made some alterations to the plan and list to try. Yes, the Lemans haven't changed but new plan involves a Chimera! Gonna load a Veteran Squad along with Yarrick and Greyfax into it to push the middle. The Commander and a squad of scions will use the Relic dagger to deep strike the enemy backfield (situational). The techs movement is sufficient: tanks will be moving 5" or less to tale advantage of their ability to fire twice with their main canons. What do you think of the changes?
