Been respecting the values so when i did the airbrush armour for the daemon prince i also hit up ma boi the LoV with the same scheme and i think it worked well.
So just starting to block in colours.
Have also mostly done the base. Just need to think about details on it.
Enjoying it so far. So a good distraction from the daemon prince.

Moved some serious metallic real estate today. And I'm actually quite proud of myself.
So the ive been using the gw model pic as a guide for a lot of the mini and one thing on it that i think is really great is the metallics.. but i wasnt too sure how they had achieved them.. it 100% wasn't base wash highlight 🤔
Bit of digging and i found a real nice glazing guide here.

And im on the glazing dark shades step now and so far super happy. Will just need to be very controlled when reapplying the gold/silver!

Definitely the best true metallics work ive done to date 😊😊

Are there any big differences between the oil/enamel washes?
(ignoring the model, you know what I think from whatsapp 👍)

Dunno in all honesty 🤣 in my limited experience enamel works best at panel lining and similar where as oil is really nice overall wash which wont get coffee staining. But im sure there's alot more to it and bigger differences.

This guy is now done!!! Couple of teaser shots. Very happy with how hes turned out. Really pleased with the eyes. Good old scale 75 coming into play. Also the skirt colours i think really suit the armour tones.

I did have a bit of nightmare as the skirt wont join correctly at the back.. honestly every time i do sub assembly painting it seems to go wrong.... 🤯 i think in this case ive got away with it but its still winding me up.
I will get some proper snaps at the weekend in the lightbox!
